Mrs. Henry Conrad, nee Louise Flarentine Ebert, was born February 3, 1880, in Fairfield Township to William and Emma Ebert, nee Geadelmann. She passed away on Christmas Day, 1952, having reached the age of 72 years, 10 months and 22 days.

Mrs. Conrad was a member of the first confirmation class of St. John's Church, and received this rite on March 26, 1893.

On February 27, 1902, she was united in marriage with Henry Conrad and this union was blessed with two sons and two daughters. Last February they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

For 28 years the family home was seven miles south of Clarence. Since 1930 Mr. and Mrs. Conrad have made their home in Clarence.

The deceased was a member of St. John's Church, The Women's Guild, Sewing Circle, and she helped organize the first Aid which is known as the South Prairie Circle.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Henry Conrad. Two sons; Wilbur Conrad and Arnold Conrad, both of Tipton, Iowa. Two daughters; Luella, Mrs. Fred Voigts, Greene, Iowa, and Esther, Mrs. Carl Moir, Mechanicsville, Iowa. Seven grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Two sisters; Mrs. Anna Thien and Mrs. Emma Muesing, both of Tipton, Iowa. Two brothers: Emil Ebert, Loveland, Colo., and William Ebert, Phoenix, Arizona.

Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services were from St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28th, 1952, conducted by Rev. Edward J. Bowers. The music was furnished by a mixed quartette which was accompanied by Miss Eleanor Conrad. In charge of the floral tributes were Mrs. Elmer Schroeder, Mrs. Erwin Niermeyer and Mrs. Lawrence Brady. Pallbearers were Herman Gehrls, Julius Bergmann, Fred Miller, Raymond Doermann, William Rix and Richard Conrad.

Interment was made in St. John's Cemetery.
