9 December 1954 - The Clarence Sun

George D. Miller, a former business man of Clarence, passed away very suddenly in his winter home at 5427 31st Ave. South, Gulfport, Florida, early Saturday morning, December 4th.

George and his wife Fern had only been away from their Clarence home since November 5th.

Mr. Miller had operated a general store here for many years and before that he was in the restaurant business. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, the American Legion and Mt. Hope Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services and burial were held at St. Petersburg, Florida on Tuesday, December 7th, 1954.

Orlo Baltisberger and Mrs. Arnold Kahl left Sunday morning for Florida to attend the funeral of George D. Miller. Enroute by plane, they were forced down in Alabama and arrived at their destination 8 hours late.
