Rosie Hasenbank was born March 17, 1901, at Belvue, Kansas, to Henry Hasenbank Sr., and his wife Marie, nee Tanger.

At the age of three years she came with her parents to Iowa. Following the death of her mother eight years ago, she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Anna Klein.

After a lingering illness, Rosie passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 1954, having reached the age of 53 years, 3 months and 20 days.

The departed is survived by her sister Anna, Mrs. Wm. Klein, and by three brothers: Henry, John and Otto Hasenbank all of Clarence.

Three sisters and 2 brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church on Friday, July 9th, 1954, with the service being conducted by Rev. Edward J. Bowers. The music was furnished by Anna Klatt and Adelia Liercke with Rosalee Hartwig at the organ. In charge of the floral pieces were Mrs. Harry Meier and Mrs. Arnold Klein. Pallbearers were Elwood Hasenbank, Arlo Hasenbank, Raymond Hasenbank, Arnold Klein, Melvin Klein and Hans Christiansen.

Interment was made in St. John's Cemetery.
