Clarence John Norberg was born June 17, 1902, at Lafayette, Illinois, the son of Frank and Julia Norberg. Following a six-weeks illness he passed away in his home in Clarence on February 14, 1954. At the time of his passing he had attained the age of 51 years, 5 months and 27 days. He had lived here in Clarence only a year, during which time he was engaged in the plumbing and heating business.

On May 30, 1943, Clarence was married to Helen Donald of Kahoka, Missouri.

Mr. Norberg was preceded in death by his father, and by one daughter, Sandra Kay.

Survivors included Clarence's wife Helen, one son, Clifton, and two step-sons, Dean and Wayne Donald, all of Clarence; one daughter, Mrs. Doris Hoskins, by a previous marriage, now of Fairfield, Iowa, and two granddaughters, Sheryl and Diane; his mother, Mrs. Frank Norberg of Galva, Ill.; two brothers, Earl, of Woodhull, Ill.; and Clifton, of Prophetstown, Ill.; and three sisters, Mrs. Jennie Fahnstron, of Victoria, Ill.; Mrs.. Alice Bryant, of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; and Mrs. Iola Murdock of Williamsfield, Ill.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Clarence on Tuesday, February 16, 1954 being conducted by Rev. Arthur D. Holtry. The music was furnished by Walter Sullivan who was accompanied by Mrs. Walter Sullivan. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Robert Kelly and Mrs. Fred Bachman. Pallbearers were Roger Mullen, Arthur Van Gert, Harry Bryant, William Greenhalgh, Dale Murdoch, Bernard Reinier.

Burial was made in the Galva Cemetery in Galva, Illinois.
