Mrs. Hans Wulff of Clarence passed away in St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, late Sunday evening, February 7, 1954. In poor health for the last ten years, she had submitted to surgery in Cedar Rapids last June from which she never fully recovered. A recurrence of her illness on December 17th led to her re-entry into the hospital on January 16th, where her condition became increasingly critical and led to her death at the age of 61 years, one month and twelve days.

Born on Christmas day, 1892 in Traventhal, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Mrs. Wulff was the daughter of Herman Rehrer and Anna Sophia, nee Dibner. Baptized in early infancy, she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the age of 14, in which she continued all of her life.

On October 29, 1911 she was united in marriage to Hans Wulff, with whom she came to this country during February in the year 1927. Settling in the vicinity of Clarence, they moved after five years to a farm 5 1/2 miles north of Wilton Junction. Thirteen years later they came to a farm 5 1/2 miles south of Clarence, where they lived until her death.

Besides her beloved husband, Mrs. Wulff leaves to mourn her passing one daughter, Mrs. Irma Goldsmith of Clarence; four brothers and one sister in Germany; and three grandchildren. Her parents and one sister preceeded her in death.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wulff were held on Wednesday, February 10, 1954, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden, preceeded by a brief prayer service at the Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, the Rev. Theo J. Eickelberg, officiating. Music was furnished by the Trinity Male Choir, directed by Geo. Roggatz, the organist.
