Mrs. Henry Britcher, 81, who moved to Cedar Rapids in December of 1942, died at her home at 507 Sixth avenue SE in Cedar Rapids at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, August 4th, 1955, after a lingering illness.

Born south of Stanwood in Cedar county on May 2, 1874, Sadie E. Britcher was the daughter of pioneers who homesteaded a section of land there, the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davidson. She was affiliated with the United Presbyterian church.

At the time of her passing she had reached the age of 81 years, 3 months and 2 days.

Surviving are a son, Sherman "Bart" Bartley of Cedar Rapids, and a sister, Mrs. Mabel Gray of Denver.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6th, in the Monahan funeral home in Cedar Rapids and at the graveside in the Stanwood cemetery where burial was made.
