Janice Mae Bowman was born May 31, 1927 at Maquoketa, Iowa, daughter of Raymond and Esther Luett Busch.

On April 5, 1947, she was united in marriage with Cecil Bowman and this union was blessed with two children.

The Bowman family came to Clarence two years ago.

Janice passed away August 2, 1956, at University Hospital at Iowa City, having reached the age of 29 years, 2 months and 1 day.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church and St. John's Women's Guild at Clarence; and the Pythian Sisters at Maquoketa, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband Cecil; two children Diane and Tommy; parents Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Busch, Lost Nation, Iowa; and two brothers, Earl and Dale Busch, both of Lost Nation, Iowa.

Funeral services were held at the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church on Monday, August 6th, 1956 at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. E. J. Bowers in charge. The music furnished by a mixed quartet was accompanied on the church organ by Arlynn Kintzel, organist. In charge of the many beautiful floral tributes were Mrs. Lowell Wulff, Mrs. Thomas Scott, Mrs. LeRoy Will and Mrs. Hubert Gade. The pallbearers were: Lowell Wulff, Melvin Jones, LeRoy Will, Harold Muesing, Hubert Gade and Donald Schroeder.

Interment was made in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa, Iowa.
