Louise Alma Kahl was born November 16, 1912, at Oxford Junction, Iowa, daughter of Albert and Frieda Miller, nee Eilers.

On June 21, 1932, she was married to John Kahl and this union was blessed with one son.

Mrs. Kahl passed away at her home on May 15, 1956, following a long illness, having reached the age of 43 years, 5 months and 28 days. Her entire life time was spent in the Clarence community.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Women's Guild.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Richard; her mother, Mrs. Frieda Miller and a brother, Dale Miller, all of Clarence; two sisters, Verna, Mrs. LaVern Sarver, Maquoketa, Iowa; and Frieda Mae, Mrs. Rayman Benhart, Oxford Junction, Iowa.

Her father preceded her in death in 1941.

Funeral services were held at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16th, 1956, with Rev. Edward J. Bowers conducting the service. The music was furnished by a mixed quartet with Karen Geadelmann as organist. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Herman Hunwardsen and Mrs. Ray Steege. Pallbearers were: Wayne Robinson, Elwood Bunge, Norman Hartwig, Victor Andresen, Raymond Stange and Harold Dewell.

Interment was made in St. John's Cemetery.
