Mrs. James D. France, Beloved Tipton Teacher, Summoned Monday

The host of friends in Tipton community were saddened Monday by the passing of Mrs. James France, beloved young lady who until her illness last summer had been a member of the faculty of the Tipton consolidated school, as teacher of First Grade. During the past several months Mrs. France had been in frail health, and in spite of all that loving hands could do gradually became weaker until the end came this week.

Fern Mae Dickey was born near Farson, Iowa, July 22, 1905, and passed away in Tipton, Iowa, March 7, 1932, at the age of 26 years, 7 months and 15 days.

She was married to James Deleplane France, December 14th, 1929 at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Dickey, at Hedrick, Iowa.

Beside her husband she leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Dickey, of Hedrick, Iowa; three brothers, Leslie and Arthur of Hedrick, and Duane of Minneapolis, Minn.; three sisters, Mrs. Glen Messerschmidt, of Hedrick, Ia.; Mrs. Dan P. Ward, of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Miss Florence Dickey of Washington, D.C.

Funeral services were conducted at the home in Tipton, Wednesday afternoon, March 9th, at 1:15 o'clock, in charge of Rev. H. N. Poston of the First Presbyterian church of Tipton. Interment was in the Masonic cemetery near Tipton.
