Charles Russel Brink, son of Henry and Emma Hoodley Brink was born near Clarence, Iowa, on January 13, 1881, and he departed this life at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on Wednesday, March 7, 1956. He was 75 years, 1 month and 23 days of age.

Mr. Brink spent his entire lifetime in the Clarence community where he had been engaged in farming. In fact, he spent his entire lifetime on the farm where he was born.

Mr. Brink was a member of the Farm Bureau. He was a regular attendant at the services of The Methodist Church in Clarence.

Surviving to mourn his passing are his three sisters: Mrs. Nellie Moffit of Mechanicsville, Iowa, Mrs. Effie (J.E.) Pennington of Linn Grove, Iowa and Miss Elma Brink of the home in Clarence with whom he had made his home since the death of his parents. Six nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were conducted in The Methodist Church in Clarence, Iowa at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, March 10, 1956 by the Reverend Forrest E. Flowers. Music was provided by a ladies trio composed of Mesdames Eugene McCaw, Roland Mingst and Robert Joslin who sang "Dear Lord and Father of Mankind" and "Peace I Leave With You" with Mrs. Howard Folk at the organ. In charge of the floral sprays were: Mrs. Milton Behrens and Mrs. Harry Feddersen. Pallbearers were: Herbert Robinson, Elmer Sawyer, Harry Feddersen, Milton Behrens, Robert Kelly and Walter Leinbaugh.

Interment was in the Clarence Cemetery.
