Earl Leroy Robinson, son of Silas A. and Edna Hecht Robinson was born in Clarence, Iowa, on April 4, 1900, and he departed this life at his home in Clarence on Tuesday, February 28, 1956. He was 55 years, 10 months and 25 days of age.

With the exception of a few years spent in Clinton, Iowa, he has lived his entire life in the Clarence community.

Mr. Robinson was baptised and received into membership in The Methodist Church in Clarence on June 14, 1917 by the Reverend H. E. Anderson. He was also a member of the Mt. Hope Lodge No. 501 A.F. & A.M.

Surviving to mourn his passing are his son, Russell M. Robinson of Cresskill, New Jersey; his daughters, Arlene Harper and Jo Ann Phelps; his mother, Mrs. Edna Robinson of Clarence; his brother Verne Robinson of Davenport; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted in the Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, Iowa at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 1956, by the Rev. Forrest E. Flowers of The Methodist Church. Mesdames Anna Klatt and Dorothy Claney sang: "In the Garden" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" with Mrs. Helen Lane as accompanist. Pallbearers were: Arthur Claney, Grover Penningroth, Howard Thein, Vern Freeman, Harold Dewell and Karl Schnipkoweit.

Graveside services were conducted by Mt. Hope Lodge No. 501 A.F. and A.M.

Interment was in the Clarence Cemetery north of Clarence, Iowa.
