Henry F. Hansen was born August 13, 1901, near Clarence Iowa, the eldest son of August H. and Minnie Engelking Hansen.

He was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church at Clarence.

On April 22, 1932, he was united in marriage with Thelma Walker of Anamosa, Iowa, and they resided with his father on a farm southwest of Stanwood. In 1944 they moved to Stanwood where Henry was employed.

The deceased was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Stanwood Fire Department.

Mr. Hansen passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 1956, at a Cedar Rapids hospital having reached the age of 54 years, 6 months and 8 days.

Survivors are his wife Thelma; one sister, Margaret, Mrs. Edwin Griem of Clarence; three brothers: Carl of Lisbon, Elwood and William of Stanwood.

His father and mother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church in Clarence at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 1956, conducted by Rev. Edward J. Bowers. The music was furnished by a mixed quartet with Karen Geadelmann as organist. The floral tributes were in charge of Mrs. Alfred Meyer and Mrs. Harry Hegarty. Pallbearers were Marvin Rohwedder, Woodrow Stock, Donald Peterman, Arthur Kintzel, Arthur Koering and Jack Cain.

Interment was made in the Clarence cemetery where graveside services by Fremont Lodge No. 616 A.F.& A.M. were conducted.
