The editor of this paper, Geo. W. Mueller, died on Wednesday morning at 7:20 o'clock at Rochester, Minn., of cancer of the stomach, in his 60th year. He had gone to Rochester to consult the Doctors Mayo. Examination had been made and an operation appointed for Monday, but on Sunday the cancer suddenly broke and from that time on his sinking was rapid. Examination after death proved the truth of the fact that he was afflicted with cancer. Mrs. Mueller and son, W. G. Mueller, who went to Rochester on Saturday, reached Lowden with the remains yesterday morning. The funeral will be held from the home on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock.

During the funeral services from 2:00 to 3:30 the business houses will be closed.
