Funeral services for Herman H. Plate were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 21st, in First Methodist Church in Crane, Texas.

Mr. Plate, 53, Crane resident for 28 years, died in Crane Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Plate, born in Lowden, was operator of a service station in Crane. He was a member of the Methodist Church, Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Katherine Eleaine and Patricia and a son, August, all of Crane. A step-daughter, Mrs. Paul Lowe and a step-son, Mervyn McCully also of Crane; one sister, Mrs. Emelie Pauls of Lowden and two brothers, William Plate of Olin and August Plate, Charlotte, Texas.
