Mrs. Betty McLain, one of the pioneer residents of Tipton, highly esteemed by a host of friends and acquaintances, passed away at 9:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at her home in this community. Mrs. McLain had been in ill health for many months, the infirmities of old age together with heart ailment being the cause of her death. She had reached the age of 83 years. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Mary's church, Tipton, with interment in the cemetery west of the city.
