Fred H. Hoffner was born February 11, 1889 at Clarence, son of John and Mary Hoffner, nee Lehrman.

On October 4, 1908, he was married to Anna Lund.

Mr. Hoffner passed away on Friday, March 27th, 1959, after having reached the age of 70 years, 1 month and 16 days.

His entire lifetime was spent in the Clarence community and for many years the Hoffner's operated a restaurant business.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Kenneth of LaGrange, Illinois; one grand-son Michael of Skokie, Illinois; one great-grandson; and one brother, Alfred.

His parents, two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 30, 1959 with the service being conducted by Rev. Edward J. Bowers. The music was furnished by a male quartet with Miss Mary Bowers as organist. In charge of the floral tributes were Mrs. Homer Burgess and Mrs. William Rix. The pallbearers were: John Hoffner, Edward Hoffner, Neil Hoffner, George Hoffner, Henry Hoffner and Kenneth Lund.

Interment was made in the Clarence Cemetery.
