Dora Irons was born October 12, 1879 in Welton Township, Clinton County, where she was educated in the rural schools. She passed away in the family home here in Clarence early Monday morning, March 23rd, 1959, after having attained the age of 79 years, 5 months and 11 days.

She was united in marriage to Dilmar Oberholser on April 4th, 1903.

Surviving her besides her husband are two sons: Louis of Boone and Burrel of Cedar Rapids; also one daughter, Irene of Coggon; also three grandsons, two brothers, Henry Irons of Clarence and Omar Irons of Delmar, and fifteen nieces and nephews.

Final rites were conducted Wednesday afternoon, March 25th, 1959 from the McGinnis Mortuary in DeWitt with the final resting place being in the family lot at the Welton Cemetery.
