Mrs. Louisa Wite, nee Brockmeyer, was born on May 27, 1857, at Landesbergen, Germany. She was married to Dietrich Wite at Leese, Germany. To this union was born eight children, five sons and three daughters, of whom two sons and one daughter have already passed to the Great Beyond. Deceased came to America in July, 1909, with her husband and moved near Bennett, Iowa. Here they have lived ever since. She died at her home at 11 o'clock Monday evening, Sept. 30, at the age of 55 years, 4 months and 3 days.

For some time deceased had been failing in health. She was taken to the Mercy hospital at Davenport about six weeks ago where she was operated upon for gallstones but the trouble proved to be cancer of the liver, and hopes of recovery were soon given up.

There survive to mourn her death, her husband, three sons and two daughters, one grandchild, two brothers and one sister; also her aged father.

Funeral services wee held yesterday. The remains were brought here for services in the Lutheran church at two p.m. Rev. Brammer officiated. The remains were buried in the Lutheran cemetery.
