William Klein was born April 9, 1877 at Clarence, Iowa, son of William and Dora Klein, nee Kahl.

On October 19, 1905, he was married to Anna Hasenbank and this union was blessed with three children. The Klein's were privileged to celebrate their Golden wedding Anniversary.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Hans Christiansen, of Clarence; two sons, Arnold of Olin and Melvin of Stanwood; also six grand children.

His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church at 3:00 p.m. on Friday August 15, 1958, in charge of Rev. Edward J. Bowers. The music was furnished by a mixed quartet with Arlynn Kintzel as organist. In charge of the floral tributes were Norma Sievers and Mrs. Mike Klinkkammer. The pallbearers were George Thumma, Arnold Kreinbring, Charles Kembel, Wm. Schroeder, Jr., Arthur Domer and Frank Klinkkhammer.

Burial made in St. John's Cemetery.
