Edward Farley Harmon was born August 19, 1885 at Confidence, West Virginia, son of William and Bettie Mae Carruthers Harmon.

On December 22, 1909, Mr. Harmon was married to Amelia Becker and this union was blessed with three daughters.

Mr. Harmon passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 10, 1958, having reached the age of 72 years, 10 months and 21 days.

He was a member of Fremont Lodge A.F. & A. M. at Stanwood, Iowa.

Survivors are his wife, Amelia, three daughters: Mrs. Guy Mitchell, Mechanicsville, Mrs. Ada Mae Achey, Clarence, Mrs. Orlie Workman, Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; a brother, C. W. Harmon, Huntington, W. Va.; and two sisters, Mrs. Inez Reveal, Red House, W. Va. and Mrs. Erma Parkins, St. Albons, W. Va.

Funeral services were held at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church on Sunday, July 13th, 1958, at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Edward J. Bowers. The music was furnished by a mixed quartet with Miss Arlynn Kintzel, organist. In charge of floral tributes were Mrs. Thomas Clemmens and Mrs. Roy Holzinger. The pallbearers were Fred Lukart, Forrest Tenly, S. G. Paul, Henry Hasenbank, William Tittle and Merle McCrosky.

Interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery where Masonic Rites at the graveside were given by Connie Butler.
