Funeral services for Mrs. Jurgen Rathman, 80, Clarence, were held at St. John's United Church of Christ Dec. 13 with the Rev. Calvin Schumacher officiating. Burial was in St. John's cemetery.

Pallbearers were Edwin Gadke, August Schroeder, Otto Frey, Herman Schwien, Herman Dettmann and Hans Christiansen. Alice Cosgriff and Mrs. Mearl Bixler were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Rathman died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Dec. 10, after a month's illness.

Johanna Carlson was born Sept. 2, 1891 at Flanzburg, Germany and was married to Jurgen Rathman there Sept. 19, 1909. He preceded her in death January, 1971.

Survivors are a son, John, Oxford Junction; 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Maria Handt, Germany.
