23 June 1911 - The Lowden News

Death, the invincible conqueror, brought great sorrow to a happy home here by taking away the wife and mother, right in the prime of her life.

Mrs. Wm. Kreinbring nee Annie Masek was born at Blavitz, Bohemia on September 29, 1872. She died at her home at Lowden, of heart trouble, on June 20, 1911, at the age of 38 years, 8 months and 21 days, she having been sick for three weeks.

Deceased came with her parents to America in 1881, first residing in Lisbon, Iowa. She was married to Wm. Kreinbring on October 29, 1891. To this happy union were born ten children, four sons and six daughters, namely, Louis, Augusta, Willie, Hubert, Freddie, Luetta, Viola, Norma, Bernice and Beatrice, all of whom survive with the grief stricken husband, as also her mother, three sisters and four brothers, to mourn her untimely demise.

The departure of Mrs. Kreinbring appears particularly sad on account that several of her children are quite young, the youngest a pair of twins only about four months old. The whole community sympathizes deeply with the bereaved family.

The funeral will be held this afternoon, of which we will make more mention next week.

Quite a number of beautiful floral pieces, silent tokens of respect, had been brought by organizations of which deceased or her husband were members and by individual friends.

The funeral was in charge of the Royal Neighbors, of which order Mrs. Kreinbring was a member, carrying $1000 life insurance in the same. There was a large attendance at the funeral and all present were deeply impressed by the services, and the deep sorrow of the members of the bereaved family. It certainly was a sad, sad affair, for death had taken from a happy home the wife and mother, while she was yet in the prime of life, leaving her large family, the youngest of her children, a pair of twins, being only four months old. Mrs. Kreinbring was buried in the Lowden cemetery. May she rest in peace.
