Funeral services for M. Belle Willey, 91, a native of Inland, were held at Newton Oct. 25, with burial in Inland cemetery. Miss Willey died at Skiff Memorial hospital Oct. 23.

The daughter of H. G. and Emma Dewey Willey, she was born in Inland June 6, 1880, the oldest of 7 children. She was educated in the area schools and started working at the Tipton post office in 1903. In March, 1920, she moved to Newton and was a member of the post office force there, working in the postal order division. She retired in March, 1948.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. W. J. (Pearl) Donohue and Mrs. D. C. (Etta) Armstrong, Sr. and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, former Cedar county Sheriff Willey and 3 sisters.
