Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Davidson, 97, were held at the Chapman Funeral home in Clarence Aug. 25 with the Rev. Ralph Schenck, Mediapolis, officiating.

Mrs. Davidson died at the Clarence nursing home Aug. 21. She had been living there for 2 1/2 years.

The daughter of Henry A. and Mary E. Maley, she was born at Clarence July 28, 1874 and spent her entire life in Cedar county. She was married to Mark H. Davidson in 1897.

She was an active member of the Stanwood Woman's club and the WCTU.

She is survived by 2 sons, Dr. A. H. Davidson, Lexington, Ky.; William Davidson, Stanwood; a daughter, Mrs. Roderick Le (Carol) Smith, Washington, D.C.; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mrs. Avis Lynn, Lakeland, Fla. and Mrs. Eva Hamilton, Chicago, Ill.
