Mrs. Lulu Dean, 88, died July 18 at the Alton, Ill. Memorial hospital. Services were held July 20 with burial in Fairmount cemetery. Lulu Dunn was born in Ida Grove and was married at Stanwood in 1903 to Edwin Dean of Clarence, where they established their home, and lived until his death in 1947. She later moved to Davenport and then to Alton, Ill. where her daughter lives.

Mrs. Dean was a Charter and 50-year member of Clarence Chapter of O.E.S. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Hunt, Alton and a son, Kenneth, Coal Valley, Ill.; 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
