Services for Edward Hamann, 82, Durant, were held Monday at the Frick Funeral home, Durant. Burial was in the Durant cemetery.
Mr. Hamann died Thursday afternoon at the Wilton Junction Nursing home.
He was born near Sunbury and married Amanda Alpen in 1911 in Davenport.
Mr. Hamann was a retired farmer. He was a school board member for 50 years in the Sunbury district.
He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Mrs. Raymond Hein, Clarence and Mrs. Robert Wildish, Paris Crossing, Ind.; a son, Harold, Prairie Village, Kan.; 9 grandchildren; a great grandchild; 2 sisters, Mrs. Minnie Meinert and Mabel Hamann, both of Durant, and a brother, William, Tipton.
