Funeral services for Ernest Kintzel, 95, were held March 19 in St. John's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Calvin Schumacher officiating. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery. Pallbearers were Edward Ruchotzke, William Mingst, Wilbur Conrad, Karl Ketelsen, Richard Kintzel and Laverne Kintzel.

Mr. Kintzel died at the Utopia Nursing Home, Tipton, where he had been a resident since 1959. He was born Feb. 25, 1876 in Germany. He was married to Amelia Penningroth at Lowden, Dec. 6, 1900.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Charles Rix, Storm Lake; 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, 2 daughters and 4 brothers.
