Stanwood - Funeral services for Walter Barkhurst, Atalissa, were held Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Atalissa. He died Monday following a long illness. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mr. Barkhurst is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Moffit, of Stanwood; 2 sons, Robert, Omaha, and Richard, St. Louis. Mrs. Barkhurst is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moffit, Stanwood.
