Mechanicsville - Funeral services for Mrs. Lora Sperry, 87, were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Horner's Funeral home. Rev. James Nelson officiated at the service and Mrs. E. H. Littig was organist. Mrs. Sperry died at the Florida Christian home, Jacksonville, Fla., where she has made her home for several years.

She was born on Sept. 18, 1883 near Drakeville, the daughter of William and Mary McNeff. She was a graduate of Centerville high and Drake university. She was married to Ernest Sperry in 1905 in Des Moines. Mr. Sperry was a pharmacist and the family resided in Mechanicsville from 1913 to 1927 where he was the community's druggist. They belonged to the Presbyterian church and she was a charter member of the Priscilla class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 41 years ago, also 8 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by 3 children, Mrs. J. G. (Maxine) Betts, Spearfish, S. Dak.; William Sperry, Falls City, Nebr., and Mason Sperry, Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Pallbearers were Cecil Smay, Harry Jackson, J. C. Butler, James Cook, Lee Scott and Forest Moffit.
