Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Hart, 80, Stanwood, were held at the United Methodist church, Stanwood, Dec. 13 with the Rev. James Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl Hasemeyer, Ray Ropa, L. W. Meyer, Herman Smith, Ray Bails and Eldon Fisher. Mrs. Herman Smith and Mrs. Ruth Rhoads were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Hart died at the Clarence Nursing home Dec. 11, where she had been living for 4 months.

The daughter of Clarence and Muroe Helmer Biggs, she was born near Lisbon Feb. 9, 1892, and graduated from Lisbon high school. She attended college at Cedar Rapids and taught in the rural schools and later in the Stanwood school.

She was married to Morton Hart Sept. 22, 1921. She was an employee of the Union Trust and Savings bank for many years following the death of her husband. She was a 50-year member of the Hiawatha Order of Eastern Star and a Past Matron of Idelle chapter, Stanwood. She was also a member of the Stanwood United Methodist church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Daniel Robb, Cedar Rapids. She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 children in infancy.
