Funeral services were held for Mrs. Barbara Grell, 89, at St. Mary's church, Mechanicsville, Nov. 11, with the Rev. Lawrence Sones officiating. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery, Mechanicsville.

She was born April 15, 1883, near Olin, the daughter of Frank and Louise Kern Cruse.

Her marriage to Charles Grell took place at Mechanicsville May 22, 1903. She was a member of St. Mary's church, Mechanicsville, and the Bennett American Legion Auxiliary. She had been a housekeeper and a practical nurse in Mechanicsville.

Pallbearers were W. J. Walshire, Raymond Fisher, William G. Koch, John Sauer, James Ward and Ernest Von Behren. Mrs. Genevieve Ulrich was organist. The church choir and Darrel Reid sang.

The Bennett American Legion auxiliary held services at Sheets and Son Funeral home, Tipton, Nov. 10.

Mrs. Grell died at Cedar Manor, Tipton, Nov. 9.

Survivors include a brother, Elmer Cruse of Tipton; 2 sisters, Mrs. Phillip (Martha) Ward, Mechanicsville and Mrs. Luzetta Larsen, Omaha, Neb.; 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter.
