Funeral services for Mrs. Theola Kline, 67, were held at the United Presbyterian church in Mechanicsville Nov. 3 with the Rev. Norman Lawton officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. The Horner Funeral service was in charge.

Kenneth Montz, Ronald Albaugh, Adolph Ahrens, Joe J. Paidar, Hugh Lamont and Donald Overbaugh were pallbearers.

Mrs. Kline died unexpectedly at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, where she was a patient following surgery.

The daughter of James and Elva Miller Farnam, Theola Frances Farnam was born on a farm near Morley Nov. 14, 1904. The family moved to Monticello in 1918. She was a 1922 graduate of Monticello high school and attended Coe college for 2 years and became a teacher.

She taught in the Jones county country schools until her marriage to Clarence Kline in March, 1925. They farmed until his failing health forced retirement in 1954 when they moved to Mechanicsville.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Mrs. Alta F. Mattiessen, Monticello and Mrs. Erhmal F. Holmes, Florida and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Vera.
