Hanna Louise Hinz, nee Albrecht, was born on April 22nd, 1824, at Sulkow, Province Pomerania, Prussia, Germany. She immigrated to America in 1856, and resided for one year in Wisconsin, then came to Davenport, Iowa, where she resided five years, and since 1862 she has resided in and near Lowden. She was married twice, in her first marriage were born to her one son and three daughters, in her second marriage two sons and one daughter; she died on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, of dropsy at the age of 84 years, four months and eleven days, and leaves to survive her demise her sorrowing husband, two sons, three daughters, two daughters-in-law, thirty grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, while besides her first husband, one son and one daughter had preceded her to the better world.

Funeral was held here last Friday with services in the Lutheran church, and interment in the Lowden cemetery. Rev. Brammer conducted the services, and many relatives and friends had assembled to pay their last tribute of respect to the departed. Fride Ihrer Asche.
