The ashes of Miss Sadie M. Rodgers who passed away at her home in Glendale, Calif., Dec. 14 were sent to Tipton and placed in the Red Oak Grove cemetery Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. Private graveside service was held with her nephew, Donald Rodgers and family, Mr. and Mrs. Art Tschirgi of Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Safely, Mr. E. B. Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Escher, Mr. and Mrs. Don Dallas attending. Rev. Marvin Janssen, pastor of Red Oak Grove church, officiated, and Mr. Fred Wilson had charge of the service. A grave blanket and rose colored everlasting wreath were placed on the grave.
