Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Smith, 89, Clarence, were held June 9 at Trinity Lutheran church, Lowden, with burial in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery. Services were conducted by the Rev. Earl Elowsky with music provided by the male choir and Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier, organist.

Mrs. Smith died at the Clarence Nursing home, June 6, where she had been a resident several years. Ida Kruckenberg was born Feb. 16, 1883 at Lowden the daughter of Henry and Maria Kroeger Kruckenberg. She was married to Dr. John E. Smith in Nov., 1926 in Cedar Rapids.

Survivors are nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Ezra Kruckenberg, Gerhart Kruckenberg, Martin Kruckenberg, Herbert Kruckenberg, Herbert Kroemer and Dr. S. G. Paul. In charge of floral tributes were Mrs. Lawrence Kline and Mrs. Marjorie Steege.
