Funeral services for Mrs. A. W. (Josephine) Kemmann, 76, were held at St. Mary church Feb. 15 with the Rev. Ray J. Pacha officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Pallbearers were L. E. Aker, Russell Willer, Henry Busching, Lon LaRue, Harlan Reeder and Raymond Eiler. Kathy Wood was organist. The rosary was held at the Sheets and Son funeral home Feb. 14.

Mrs. Kemmann died at a Cedar Rapids hospital following a sudden illness Feb. 12.

The daughter of John W. and Julia Cusack Norton, she was born at Oskaloosa Oct. 6, 1895 and was educated in the schools of Cedar county. She was employed as a clerk in a Cedar Rapids Woman's store for many years.

She was married to A. W.(Louie) Kemmann at Cedar Rapids April 14, 1956 and had been a resident of Tipton since that time. She was a member of St. Mary church, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Tipton Woman's club, the Garden club, of which she was treasurer and the World War I auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband and a sister, Mrs. Roland (Frances) Poole, Orlando, Fla.
