Stanwood - Funeral services for William T. Zabel, 76, Center Point, were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. James Nelson, United Methodist church officiated at the service.

Mr. Zabel died Feb. 28 after a short illness. He had lived in the Center Point community for 17 years.

William T. Zabel was born Feb. 6, 1896 in Renville County, Minn. He was married on June 24, 1926 to Irene Carroll in the Little Brown church at Nashua. He retired from farming in 1968. Mr. Zabel was a member of the Stanwood United Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, a brother, A. J. Zabel, Hutchinson, Minn. and 2 sisters, Mrs. Arnold Eggert, Stewart, Minn. and Mrs. Walter Jergens, Puposky, Minn.

Burial was in Cedar Memorial cemetery with the Cedar Memorial Funeral home in charge.
