Funeral services for Mrs. Leone M. McCafferty, 76, were held at the Chapman's Funeral home, Clarence, Feb. 4 with the Rev. James Nelson officiating. Mrs. James Sawyer Jr. was organist. Burial was at Naches, Wash.

Mrs. McCafferty died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Feb. 2 after being hospitalized 6 hours.

The daughter of Homer and Lillian Oirie Hart, she was born at Stanwood Sept. 24, 1895 and lived all of her life in Stanwood, with the exception of 2 years spent in California.

She was a graduate of Cornell college.

She was married to Charles McCafferty at Stanwood Dec. 28, 1921. She was a member of the Stanwood United Methodist church since 1906, a member of the American Legion auxiliary, the WSCS and the Stanwood library board.

Mrs. McCafferty is survived by 2 sons, Everett, Naches, Wash. and Philip, Cedar Rapids and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and 2 sisters.
