Funeral services for Leo J. Driscoll, 64, were held in St. Mary's Catholic church, Mechanicsville Jan. 3 with the Rev. P. J. Casey offering the mass. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. The Horner funeral home was in charge.

Pallbearers were Lee Scott, Carl Kern, Floyd Becker, John Sauer, John Hoy and John Donohoe. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Smith, Fred Luedemann, Robert Bolin, Lavern Guhl, Ora Hoy and Clarence Maher.

Mr. Driscoll died at his farm home Dec. 31 following a lingering illness.

Leo John Driscoll, the son of Dennis and Mary Malone Driscoll, was born Oct. 11, 1907 at Holbrook. He was married Feb. 6, 1934 to Alice Lucille Fisher in St. Mary's Catholic church. They farmed all his life in the Mechanicsville community. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church.

Mr. Driscoll was a founder and chairman of the Cedar county NFO for a number of years.

He is survived by 5 children, Gervase, Iowa City; Mrs. Paul (Mary Alice) Schnipkoweit, Mechanicsville; Mrs. Ervin (Barbara) Lich Jr., Council Bluffs; George, Stanwood and James, at home; 9 grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Mary Driscoll, Hallmark Nursing home, Mt. Vernon; 3 brothers, Charles, Arnold and Donald and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Crock, Tipton.

He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Mrs. Margaret Robertson and brother, David.
