Funeral services for Merlin G. Bauer, 74, Bennett, were held Aug. 1, 1988 at Lacock Funeral Home in Durant, with burial in Inland cemetery, Bennett.

Mr. Bauer died July 30 at Mercy hospital in Davenport.

He married Delpha Woods in 1932 in Galena, Ill. and retired in 1976 as a transport driver for Farm Service in Bettendorf.

Mr. Bauer was a hunting and fishing enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife; 3 sons, LeRoy, Bennett and Gerald and Ronald, both of Wheatland; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Norma) Lee, Davenport.
