Funeral services for Mrs. Roy (Lois Roberta) Brink, 88, were held at the Chapman Funeral home, Clarence, Sept. 27, 1987, with the Rev. Doloros Santos Sheets officiating. Burial was in the Clarence cemetery. Pallbearers were Dick Hancock, Tipton; Dennis Drager, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mark Abbott, Iowa City; Dick Ward, Tipton and Arlo Hasenbank, Clarence. Honorary bearers were Wilbert Wiebke and Wallace Obermier, Clarence. Virginia Robinson, Clarence, was organist.

Mrs. Brink died at Cedar Manor Sept. 25, where she had been living for the past year.

The daughter of Keros and Mary R. Richardson Johnson, she was born at Kissimmie, Fla. July 11, 1899. She was married to Roy H. Brink at Kissimmie Nov. 21, 1920. They came to Cedar county in 1923 and farmed near Clarence until his death in 1950. Mrs. Brink was librarian at the Edna Zybell Memorial library in Clarence from 1951 to 1974.

She was a member of the United Methodist church at Clarence, the Methodist Women and was a 50 year member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star at Clarence.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dick (Beverly) Hancock, Tipton; 2 granddaughters, Mrs. Dennis (Cheryl) Drager, Milwaukee, Wis. and Jean Renae Hancock, Iowa City; a great-grandson, Jason Drager, Milwaukee and a son-in-law, Dick Hancock, Tipton. She was preceded in death by her husband and 3 brothers.
