BOEDEKER, DEERBERG, KRUCKENBERG, BAAL

Funeral services for Norman Boedeker, 45, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday Nov. 6 at Trinity Lutheran church in Lowden, the Rev. Earl Elowsky officiating. Burial was in Trinity cemetery with military rites conducted by members of the Lowden Legion and Amvets.

Pallbearers were Dennis Somerville, Reuben Wenndt, Eugene Mayerhofer, Wayne Carpenter, Joe Stiff and Jim Ganzer. Music was provided by the Men's Choir and Mrs. Lorenz Hoffmeier, organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. Reuben Wenndt and Mrs. Dennis Somerville.

Mr. Boedeker died at work Nov. 3 in Scott county. He was a quarry superintendent. Born Jan. 4, 1921, the son of Dietrich and Marie Deerberg Boedeker, he was a lifelong resident of Lowden. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict.

Mr. Boedeker married Eunice Kruckenberg in Lowden Sept. 10, 1955. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Commander of Lillis-Deerberg Legion post and a life member of the Amvets.

He is survived by his widow, a son, Raymond, and 2 daughters, Rita and Ruth Ann, all at home; 4 brothers, Christian, Henry, Richard and Donald, all of Lowden, and one sister, Mrs. Alvin (Betty) Baal of Broomfield, Colo. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
