Mechanicsville - Funeral services for Mrs. Charles L. Hill, 63, Mechanicsville were held Monday at Cedar Memorial Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, with burial in Cedar Memorial park. Rev. Howard Mace, pastor of the Lisbon Federated church, officiated.

Mrs. Hill died unexpectedly Friday at her home. She was born Avis Fountain at Lone Tree Dec. 9, 1909, and married Charles L. Hill Jan. 19, 1929, at Peoria, Ill.

Surviving are her husband; 2 daughters, Doris Van Zante, Caldwell, Idaho and Patricia Kirst, San Diego, Calif.; 2 sons, Charles L. Hill, Jr., Jacumba, Calif. and Lawrence F. Hill, Alpine, Calif.

Also surviving are a sister, Iona Sargent of Largo, Fla.; 6 brothers, Robert Fountain, Cedar Rapids; Enos Fountain, Luzerne; Ervin, Marion and Harold Fountain, Iowa City; Clifford Fountain, Edna, Tex.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
