Funeral services for William Dinse, 78, were held at the Dye Funeral home Nov. 17 with the Rev. Ernest Lauer officiating. Burial was in Woodbridge cemetery, Buchanan. Masonic graveside rites were held.

Pallbearers were Calvin Moore, Stanley Small, Leonard Voss, Robert Schroeder and Elmer Maxson. Honorary pallbearers were Herman Hass, Arthur Baer, Fay Wagner, Sylvester Benishek, Henry Mente and Paul Hutchens. Mrs. Irma Crawford was organist.

Mr. Dinse died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Nov. 14 where he had been a patient since Oct. 26.

The son of John and Caroline Bornemann Dinse, he was born at Shroud, Okla. (then Indian territory). He received his education in the Mechanicsville and Stanwood area schools. He was married to Ella Haacks at West Liberty Feb. 16, 1921. He farmed in the Tipton area until 1943 when he moved to Tipton. Since that time he had been a roofing contractor.

Mr. Dinse was a member of Golden Rule Lodge No. 24, AF&AM, Rochester.

He is survived by his wife, 2 daughters, Mrs. Leon (Norma) Dunbar, Brighton and Mrs. Paul (Irma) Schiltz, Seattle, Wash.; 2 sons, John, Seattle, Wash. and Hilbert, Swisher; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Gleason, Gillette, Wyo.; Mrs. Ida Hill, Oskaloosa; Jessie Dinse, Tipton; Mable Dinse, San Antonio, Texas and an aunt Mrs. Frieda Baruth, Palo Alto, Calif.

He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.
