Mechanicsville - Funeral services for Homer Dodge, 53, were held Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist church with the Rev. Aldreth Weigel officiating.

Mr. Dodge died Sunday in St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Homer Gerald Dodge was born Aug. 11, 1920 at Morley the son of Milo W. and Jessie L. Dodge. He was married to Lois C. Boots. He was a member of the Methodist church and served with the army in World War II. Mr. Dodge was employed at Universal Engineer, Cedar Rapids. He was a member of the American Legion, the IAM Local 831 machinist union and a retired fireman.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; daughters, Mrs. Rita Zerbe and Diane Dodge; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lois Meyers, Quincy, Mich., and Nita McGowan, Cedar Rapids; 2 brothers, Lawrence Dodge and Milo LeRoy Dodge, both of Cedar Rapids and 2 granddaughters, Suzette and Kimberly Zerbe.

His parents preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were members of the legion, Narvis Robinson, Dean Kurth, Donald Walshire, Merle Thimmes, Robert Ross and Calvin Robinson. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
