Funeral services for Howard C. Park, 55, Cedar Rapids, a native of Mechanicsville, were held March 23 in the Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. Lawrence A. Chamberlain, of the Kenwood Park United Presbyterian church officiating. Burial was in the Cedar Memorial cemetery.

Mr. Park died March 20 following a short illness.

Howard C. Park was born in Mechanicsville Oct. 21, 1917, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Park. He married Vivian Ellison Dec. 15, 1939 at Clinton. He was an employee of the city of Cedar Rapids and a member of the Eagles club.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian; 2 daughters, Mrs. Byron Rhodes and Mrs. Marvin Smyth, both of Cedar Rapids; his mother, Ruth Smunk, Goodwin, S.D., 5 sisters, a brother and 6 grandchildren. His uncle, Roy Park, lives in Mechanicsville.
