God hath not promised
Skies always blue.
Flower-strewn pathways
All our live through;
God hath not promised
Sun without rain.
Joy without sorrow,
Peace without pain.
But God hath promised
Strength for the days,
Rest for the labor,
Light for the way.
Grace for the trials,
Help from above,
Unfailing sympathy
Undying Love.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Clarence at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18th, 1963, conducted by Rev. E. G. Steinman. The music was furnished by Romona McCaw and Mildred Joslin with Mrs. Howard Folk as organist. In charge of the floral tributes were Mrs. Howard Tacker and Mrs. George Ruprecht. The casket bearers were S. G. Paul, Lester Kelly, Robert Kelly, Vern Freeman, Wayne Saunders and Kenneth Morehead.
