Funeral services for Robert Everett White, 77-year-old Tipton resident, were held in the Methodist church in Tipton Sunday at 2 p.m. the Rev. Leo Wolfe, pastor, officiating, with interment in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Alfred F. Tinder was the soloist at the service accompanied by Mrs. C. C. Crawford. Casket bearers were Deane Floyd, Don Floyd, Grant White, Jr., Buell Maxwell, George Geller and Carl Crispin.

Mr. White was born on a farm near Ossian, Iowa, April 22, 1871, and died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Thursday evening, Feb. 3, 1949, following a short illness. He was the son of H. W. and Amanda J. White.

Mr. White was married to Mary Einwalter at Ft. Atkinson, March 12, 1894, who survives together with one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Floyd of Tipton, and four sons, Robert White of Davenport, Grant of Tipton, Lester of Spencer, and Richard of Indianola. One daughter, Gretchen Emma, died in 1912. There are nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

For many years Mr. White was employed by the Rock Island railroad company, as station agent, and had lived in Tipton since 1920. He was a member of the Methodist church.
