George Williams, well known former Tipton business man who operated a first class barber shop in this city a number of years ago, passed away last week at the hospital in Portland, Oregon, where he had been ill several days. Mr. Williams' home was at Ben, Oregon near Portland where he had resided the past fifteen years or more. Mr. Williams visited in Tipton the last time about ten years ago.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Portland in charge of the Odd Fellow Order, with which he had been affiliated for many years and interment was made at that place.

News of Mr. Willams' death was received here by his brothers Charles and Sherman Williams. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Nell Morley of Polo, Illinois. Wren Williams, a brother of George, passed away in Tipton a few years ago while serving as janitor at the Cedar county court house.
