Clarence - Funeral services were held June 19 for Mrs. Meta Horn, 76, in St. John's United Church of Christ with Dr. C. W. Ebbert officiating.

The mixed quartet sang, accompanied by Antoinette Rix. Arnold Kahl, Lawrence Kline, Wilbur Debner, Robert Von Muenster, William Von Muenster and John Dettman, all nephews, were pall bearers. Mrs. Ernest Wulff and Mrs. Harlan Miles, nieces, were in charge of flowers.

Mrs. Horn died June 16 in St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, where she had been a patient for three weeks. She had been in failing health for some time.

Meta Wilhelmina Horn was born May 8, 1888 in Germany to Fritz and Dorothea, nee Homann Roennau. She spent most of her life in the Clarence area. She was married to William Horn on Dec. 7, 1909. The couple farmed for a number of years before moving to town.

Mrs. Horn was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

Survivors are three children, Mrs. John (Florence) Hunwardsen, Mrs. Herman (Leona) Hunwardsen and Marvin, all of Clarence; also 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
